Do you want RYNO as your next pet? You might!

Riding on one wheel cycle or “Unicycle” seems to be fun? If your answer is yes, then you would love the new Ryno! What we just named an animal? Oh com’on, we are not that dumb enough. I am actually talking about the new single-wheel electric scooter, which can break all the barrieres.

z 00233 ryno grocceriesz 00237RYNO motors – is a single-wheeled electric scooter is self-balancing, which offer 0 (zero) turning radius and only takes up about as much space as a folding bicycle. Now, How cool is that?

This is obviously not something new, because the company released it’s first model back in 2013. Have a look at the specs.

However, it only has a maximum range of 20 miles between charges, a top speed that is limited to 12.5 mph (the actual top speed of 25 mph is limited to keep the RYNO scooter within the more relaxed legal boundaries of “personal mobility scooters”), and it looks like it fell out of a Japanese anime — yes, for some people, that last point is as much a con as it is a pro.z 00236

Solara – drone can fly non-stop for 5 years without being refueled

What if a drone never has to be refuel, that could fly non-stop all over the world and fulfill all the work that a regular expensive satellites can achieve right now. You would say either it is impossible, or way too impractical to be used in real world, Right? — But, you would wrong!

z 00215Titan aerospace has invented a drone that powers itself from solar energy and can fly non-stop for at least 5 years. The Solara 50, named for its 50-meter wingspan, will fly at 65,000 feet—above most other aircraft and above weather that could disturb its flight and block the sun, its source of power. Titan will market it as an “atmospheric satellite.”

The team designed an electric motor that allows the drone to fly upto 60 mph. The 350 pound drone has a strong, light airframe with a structure made of mostly carbon fiber that provides the drone with required lifespan. There are thousands of solar cells that covers the 50 meter upper wing, elevator, and horizontal stabilizer – which can generate more than seven kilowatts of power during the day. There are Lithium-ion batteries inside the wings that stores the power to keep all systems going at night.

The Jumping Sumo gadget can only be described as something out of a Power Rangers episode. With two giant wheels on either side of its body, this monster may not be able to fly, but it can do one better. With the power to jump from counter to counter, there’s literally an endless possibility of fun waiting to be had. Both these gadgets come standard with a front-facing camera, so there is no need for you to follow them around like some silent stalker.

If you are a Food Junkie, Then Get a K-Glass!

Been too long since updated you guys. Latest news in technological developments shows us that the computing can’t only be used for studies. Another wearable computer that will sure take the lead. Foodies can now check out a restaurant’s menu only by looking at the signboard with this glass.

k-glass1 1Imagine that. K-glass is the new stuff on the market. THe head mounted Display (HMD) has been developed by scientists in korea. Consider this example: – You are walking by a restaurant and if by chance you are wearing your k-glass then you just need to look at the signboard and you will see the day’s menu on the screen in 3D form popping up. But if thats now enough then you can also see the number of Tables available.

k-glass2To build this a completely new type of processor has been employed which is now quite used. It runs on an In-built Augmented Reality(AR) processor. Unlike the virtual reality processors, it actually incorporates the digital data generated by the computer into the real-time environment of a user.

In simple terms the computer in the glass takes up raw data sound, video, graphics or GPS data along with everything else digital like wifi etc, and manipulates that to turn the user’s real world interactive and live. Imagine the Iron man’s 3d computer used by Tony stark. Only in this case only you will be able to see the actual layout.

When all this is just to be done for you then one can assume that it will sure as hell need to be efficient and if that condition is true then it must be Energy Efficient with great battery life.

In the words of Professor Hoi-Jun Yoo –

” Our processor can work for long hours without sacrificing K-Glass’s high performance, an ideal mobile gadget or wearable computer, which users can wear for almost the whole day.

HMDs will become the next mobile device, eventually taking over smartphones. Their markets have been growing fast, and it’s really a matter of time before mobile users will eventually embrace an optical see-through HMD as part of their daily use. Through augmented reality, we will have richer, deeper, and more powerful reality in all aspects of our life from education, business, and entertainment to art and culture.”

Toshiba Brings A Smart Mirror For Your Kitchen And Washroom!

The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) has always been a pomping witness to some of the most amazing inventions and products. The recent CES-2014 held at Las Vegas is no exception when it comes to bringing out innovative ideas and concepts to the eyes of people.

Well, what we are talking about is the new Smart Mirror by Toshiba which has been unveiled this year at CES. We are bound to say that the gadget is simply amazing. Although, very little information is available about the device and how it actually works, it do revives the memories of all those science fiction movies like Iron Man and Avengers. Just a swap over the screen and there you go! No doubt, we all wish to have such an amazing technology at our home.

    Toshiba-Smart-Mirror-3-610x343

The gadget is being called as ‘Multi Display in Black Mirror’ and the basic idea revolves around offering the benefits of a tablet in conjunction with a everyday mirror. Toshiba exhibited two different environments which can possibly make use of this gadget : kitchen and the washroom. While the bathroom setup provided details regarding weather details, fitness monitor and other related information, the kitchen arrangement surely was an eye candy for the show. It illustrated how the gadget would assist the users in making a recipe or making use of one already present in the database. It even provides flexibility for adjusting the recipe according to personal taste. The user could carry out interactions with the mirror using a camera in a much similar fashion to that of Kinect with an Xbox.

The Smart Mirror is no doubt an intriguing innovation but unfortunately, Toshiba has no serious plans of bringing the mirror in the market at this time. However, if this concept is realised, then soon we would have a mirror that would serve various basic needs in every living space like kitchens or living rooms.

If everything works fine, then we’re not too away from the day we’ll have this house of future!

  • Nest Protect : Smart Smoke Alarm By Nest!

Nest Protect : Smart Smoke Alarm By Nest!

Nest Labs, a home automation company headquartered in Palo Alto, California has recently come up with Nest Protect that aims to save homes from smoke and carbon monoxide but in a smart way.

Yes, with almost everything getting ‘smart’ these days, the team at Nest also decided to design a gadget that would work in conjunction with the smartphones replacing the regular beeping alarm with a voice alarm that can pinpoint the origin of smoke and carbon-monoxide.

    Nest Smoke Detector

The gadget continuously provides the warning before going off. The circular light fixed in the middle of unit transits color to yellow if minimal smoke is produced like from stove or from the bag popcorn bag you just heated in microwave. However, in case of true emergency i.e. heavy smoke emissions, the light turns to red color and the alarm goes off!

The team at Nest has taken into consideration many facts like the airflow, smoke chamber along with a number of sensors: heat, motion, carbon-monoxide, photoelectric and light. Specific details about the gadget are not yet official but as per the reports; batteries, alarm and voice chip have been housed inside the gadget only.

Nest Protect Safety has already won approval from California State Fire Marshals and Underwriters Laboratory. Plus, the British agencies too has signalled a green light for it. The latest update in this concept is the app ‘Nest Thermostat’ that controls Nest Protect and other gadgets.

Apparently, another big news that has reached our ears is that Google has bought Nest for $3.2 billions. Experts believe that if the rumours are true then, undoubtedly this acquistion would turn out to be much more fruitful to Google which is making remarkable advancements in all fields. Well, we too don’t the truth but one thing we can certainly say is that Google never falls short of ideas; ideas which are worth executing. It won’t be surprising if we see some more designs being put forward by Google!
