Acer Z410 Plus is going to be a 64 bit phone under the brand, which was unveiled at CES 2015. The Z410 is priced at 69 euros and it comes with dual SIM slots and a 4.5 inch qHD display.
The device is powered by MT6732 processor, clocked at 1.3 GHz and this time we get 2GB of RAM instead of 1GB like on the predecessor.
The phone runs on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat and comes with 4G connectivity. It keeps the 5MP back camera, as well as the 2000 mAh battery from the unit unveiled in January.
The device was expected to be debuted at a conference on April 23rd in New York, but the company unveiled the device prior to the scheduled date.
The company is focusing on the UI and user interface of the device and looking forward to give it a major overhaul.
The MIUI 7 update is said to be codenamed as MiKangy and will be based on the Android 5.1 Lollipop update. It is expected to be released with their Mi successor phone MI5.
For those who’re new to such alliances, AOKP is the after market ROM developer like Cyanogen. Just like YU Yureka and OnePlus teamed up with Cyanogen to introduce the CyanogenMod 11S based devices, the Xiaomi Mi5 will debut with MIUI 7 with special features and experience developed in tandem with AOKP team.
Recently, OnePlus grabbed hold of another third-party Android ROM developer team ParanoidAndroid to work on the OxygenOS.
The company is planning to release the successor of HTC One M8 this year, but the repacked version might be something that many will find appealing and worth the money.
In the Uk, it’ll cost £379.99 SIM-free, which is significantly cheaper than HTC One M8’s price. HTC One M8S comes with different chipset and new camera module.
The updated design keeps the dual-camera, but moves up to a 13MP sensor with 28mm lens and f/2.0 aperture. The video recording should be capped at 1080p@30fps (it’s as high as the chipset can go), though we’re not seeing an official confirmation just yet. The front-facing camera is a 5MP shooter with 1080p video capture.
HTC One M8S uses a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor instead of the Snapdragon 801.
Snapdragon 615 is the same 64-bit octacore chip used by the Alcatel Onetouch Idol 3, Oppo R5 and HTC’s own HTC One Desire 820. It runs a respectable 1.7GHz on its eight cores.
Considering the similarities in design, how will this impact One M9 sales? The price difference is pretty steep and the one major downside is the slower chipset. As for the old One (M8), that one will most likely get phased out.
I ordered “Microsoft Wireless desktop 800 USB Keyboard and Mouse Combo” one day, when I was annoyed by the fact that I have to carry my laptop on my lap all the time while typing or working on it.
If you work on a laptop everyday like me, You would probably understand what I am talking about. I just hate it when I have to work on my laptop, sitting in a single position because you can not always use the keyboard effectively at every sitting positions. This is what led me to buy the wireless keyboard and mouse, so that I could work within my comfort zone.
This is just me, but you might have some similar situation where you wanted to go wire free and work on your desktop or laptop from a feasible distance. Microsoft Wireless Keyboard and Mouse is the perfect companion for such scenarioes, And guess what? It falls right under the budget of Rs 1,500 (~$25).
Box Accessories
The package includes a Microsoft Wireless Keyboard, Mouse, USB transmitter, Manual, 2 AA size battery and 2 AAA size battery.
Build Quality & Design
The “Microsoft Wireless Desktop 800 USB Keyboard and Mouse Combo” has a really sturdy and premium build quality, which makes it stand out in the crowd. The button are really soft to press, and they doesn’t seem like getting chunky any sooner. The curved layout of the keyboard button makes it really easy to type and compose texts.
I am typing this article on the keyboard and so far I am loving it. The buttons are so soft that it feels like you’re moving your hand over butter. There are several easy access hot keys, like the calculator, Play/Pause button, Mute button and volume up or down button.
The wireless mouse provided by Microsoft is equally good and delivers the performance promised by them. Microsoft Optical Technology benefit from responsive cursor control that takes advantage of 1,000 dots per inch (DPI) tracking, which makes sure you have a precision control over the mouse cursor.
Features
Both Keyboard and mouse can be operated from the distance of 30 foot range, with virtually no interference with the 2.4 GHz wireless technology. The Snap-in Transceiver provides plug and play feature, which means you don’t have to install any additional drivers to make the hardware work. There is battery life indicator on both Keyboard and Mouse, which glows red when battery is low.
There is a power on/off button at the bottom of the mouse, which is really helpful to save battery while the device is not in use. However, this feature is missing on the Keyboard, but Microsoft claims that Both keyboard and mouse can have battery life of upto 15 months.
Another drawback of the keyboard is smaller function keys (F1 to F12), which is little annoying for developers and debuggers. If you don’t use them often, you’ll probably never notice it.
Mouse is little on the heavier side because of 2 AA size battery, but you will get used to it after sometime. I didn’t noticed any lags while using the keyboard and mouse simultaneously what so ever. My experience with this combo product has been really good so far. You can’t expect much from the $25 (~Rs. 1,500) product. You can definitely go for it.

Update: Huawei Honor 6 Plus went for sale on 15th April 2015 Exclusively on Flipkart.
The company did announce 2 new smartphones under the new honor series on 24th March 2015 as promised, but it is not available for sale at the moment. But, According to the press note, these should have been made available for purchase on the release date on the exclusive online partner, Flipkart.
The smartphones namely Huawei Honor 4X and Huawei Honor 6 Plus are showcased on Flipkart with their Retail Price, but none of them are up for sale. Honor 4X will be available for public purchasing on 30th March 2014 through registration system (flash sale) and Honor 6 actual release date is yet to be announced.
Indian customers will be able to buy the Huawei Honor 4X starting March 30, exclusively via Flipkart, which presents it as “the world’s best dual SIM 4G camera phone.” The smartphone will cost about $168 (10,499 INR in local currency). We tried contacting Flipkart as well as Huawei, but none of them has responded to our mails by the time of writing this article. The company seeking a valuable consumers should have released the devices on the actual release date which was announced earlier, but instead they are making it uncertain. It only points at one thing, that the company wasn’t ready to address the mass product demands and seeking time to build stocks to fulfill it.
We will update this post if we receive any information from Flipkart or Huawei Team.
The south Korea Company launched the second iteration of its self-healing curved smartphone in Singapore today. This makes Singapore second country in the world to receive LG G Flex 2 outside China after it was released in South Korea last month.
The pre-orders will commence on 27th February 2015 while the retail launch is planned for 14th March 2015. Pricing of the G Flex 2 is S$998, which comes out to the equivalent of $800.
LG G Flex 2 sports a smaller display than the G Flex (5.5-inch compared to 6-inch), but this time around it comes with a higher full-HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels). This means the phone has a higher pixel density as well, coming in at 403ppi.
Other improvements include a stronger front glass display and a “self-healing” back cover that LG says will recover from scratches and scuffs within seconds.
At this stage, there’s no official word on when the G Flex 2 will be made available in the US, but it has been confirmed that AT&T, Sprint and US Cellular will offer the device in the country. In the UK, Vodafone has announced that it will be exclusively carrying the device for the first six weeks, with Carphone Warehouse commencing pre-orders on February 28.
The device itself will go on sale in the UK from March 19. In Singapore, the G Flex 2 will be offered in Platinum Silver and Flamenco Red color variants.
