Hidester Proxy Site offers best Fast, Free & Premium Proxy list Service

I have reviewed many VPN and web proxy services in the past, but you’d find a very few of them offering a free service that can be used conventionally anywhere, on demand. Recently, while I was in Jaipur, India, I encountered an internet service provider which was very restrictive about the websites I visit using their connection; blocking many P2P and media streaming websites. Typically, I would use one of the many VPN services that I am subscribed to, but unfortunately, I didn’t have access to my computer, which means none of the VPN credentials were available at my disposal. I tried using some web proxy services such as Kproxy, Hidemyass and proxy site among many others but sadly, none of them could properly render all the website I visited. Most of the web proxy servers do no process the complex queries required for some section of websites to work in a manner that it would have with our regular internet connection.

This is where I felt the need to use public/premium Proxy IP addresses, which once was my favourite anonymity tool to hide personal data while accessing some websites back in high school. Public/premium Proxy IPs works very differently than VPNs as it is limited to your web browser, while traditional VPNs encrypt all your incoming/outgoing traffic to or from your computer.

What happens when you visit a website without Proxy or VPN services:

In order to access the website, you are connecting directly to the server where the resources of the website are stored. The website and your ISP can log following information that can be used to uniquely identify every user who uses these resources.

illustration of connection between ISP and web server without proxy

    • It knows your external IP – that’s a piece of information about you, probably not enough to identify you with certainty, but enough to find out your approximate geographical location.
    • It knows the cookies you have on your computer – you may delete them later, but you definitely don’t delete them each time you load a website.
    • It knows what browser you’re using and what plugins you have installed. Every time you visit a website, your browser sends the User-Agent string which can be used to identify a browser, its version, OS version, and sometimes installed browser extensions.
    • It knows where you’re coming from. An HTTP referrer (sic!) is sent each time you click a link. Basically, when you navigate from one site to another, the target site will know the URL or previous site.

Additionally, there are more advanced tracking algorithms that just won’t be easy to shrug off when you require a total anonymity or bypass your ISPs restrictions. Yes, there are tools that can help you block cookies, UAs, and referrers in your browser, but there are more programs that use HTTP. Most of these programs won’t let you hamper the inbuilt settings and mechanism of their service protocol.

Using VPN and Web Proxy services to lift ISP restrictions and hide personal identity

Online VPN services, VPN providers, Web proxy, Socks Proxy and Proxy sites are some of the most effective tools that can help you get rid of the restrictions imposed by your ISP and help keep your identity safe on the internet.

We have reviewed plenty of VPN services on our website, which can be trusted to handle our precious personal details. At the end, we really have to be careful that the company we choose must be capable of handling the individual information anonymously without any data leak.

If anonymity is not your concern then you can use some of the best free Online VPN extensions for available for your browser, which is ranked according to their reputation and efficiency on digitfreak. These browser extensions work very similarly to the proxy IPs that we are going to use, as they only encrypt the traffic of your browser it is installed on.

How proxy IP helps hide your true identity?

A proxy (technically an open proxy) server is a computer that acts as an intermediary between your computer and the internet. Any traffic routed through a proxy server will appear to come from its IP address, not your computer’s.

illustration of user computer connecting to a web server bypassed by a proxy IP

Unlike VPN, proxy servers don’t usually encrypt your internet traffic which allows them to handle large user pool with insignificant resource requirements.

If you use Proxy server on your browser, it can alter your internet connection to hide your true identity or remove any ban imposed by the ISP:

    • It can replace the User-Agent string with some meaningless string or strip out the referrers.
    • It can accept all cookies, but not pass them to you, or it can block them altogether.
    • It’s the proxy that’s connecting to the server, not you, so your IP isn’t disclosed.
    • A proxy can be set up to work system-wide, so programs won’t be able to bypass it.

There are also some extra features that a proxy can provide:

    • It can compress your traffic to save some bandwidth.
    • It can cache files to give a little boost to page load times.
    • It can strip ads from websites before they reach your computer.
    • It can block malicious websites.

And finally, it can be used not only against filters but also as a filter!

    HTTP and SOCKS proxy

Web Proxy services utilise one of the two different protocols to connect with the internet. The HTTP and SOCKS work very differently as they are capable of handling a different level of internet protocols.

The HTTP protocol is designed to interpret traffic at the HTTP level, which means that it can only handle traffic that starts with http:// or https://, i.e. web pages*. Whereas the SOCKS servers do not interpret network traffic at all, which makes them much more flexible, but because they are usually handling more traffic, usually slower. The big advantage of the SOCKS protocol is that it supports any kind of internet traffic, such as POP3 and SMTP for emails, IRC chat, FTP for uploading files to websites, and torrent files.

Best Free & Premium Proxy IP list

On my quest to find the best free proxy IP list, I stumbled upon the website called Hidester – “Free Public Premium Proxy List (https SSL, socks 4/5)” among many others which offer useful free tools. Hidester has a section on their website that lists all the active proxy IPs documented according to various categories and efficiency.

    2016-06-09 17-34-50

The powerful search option and elegant website design make it easier to find the suitable IP address according to our preference. It feels much better and refreshing when compared to other popular proxy lists available on the internet. However, I don’t want you to get confused or mislead by the fact that this website has a fluid user interface and likeable interactive environment with the ability to choose any IP from the list blindly and think that it will work. It is true that Hidester does check all the IP addresses for their availability and performance (especially the premium ones), but not all of them will work. In my test, I had to test out few of them before I found the working Proxy IP that was in the list of filtered IPs matching my search criteria.

    2016-06-09 17-35-26

One you find that perfect public IP address, you’re good to go. After that, you basically have to put it in your browser and forget about it. Unless you want to browse the internet with your real IP address for some reason.

Surprisingly, I didn’t notice any significant drop in my speed. Maybe, I was lucky to pick the Public Proxy IP that had perfect infrastructure to back it up, or the Hidester does actually make a list that includes only fast Proxy Servers.

You can test it out and let us know in comments whether you had a similar experience. I would love to hear if others get as lucky as I was; If you do, I would love to recommend it on a larger scale and approach them for partnership.

Access any blocked website with Free Google Chrome extensions

Netizens have a handful of options to protect their Privacy over the internet, and security experts also recommend practicing the standard protocols to prevent identity theft and security breach. Many of us are ready to implement these security layers to our system, but the main issue is that they are not always free or affordable.

A secure router like ‘bitdefender box‘ can provide highly secured communication line to all the wireless devices that are connected to it, but currently it is only available in US and costs $199.  There are premium VPN services that can provide similar protection over multiple devices, such as hideipVPN, CactusVPNVPN4ALL, VyprVPN etc. Then there are DNS services like Unotelly, which are capable of lifting the restriction from geo-blocked websites. We also covered the basics of wireless security earlier, which gives you a good idea how to protect yourself from the interception of wireless traffic.

All of these options are highly recommended and secure way to access the internet, but if you’re like me who just wants to access the geo-blocked websites while keeping the identity private, these “Free” Google Chrome extensions will get you going.

The recent melodramatic event in India, where the government took a major decision to block more than 800 porn websites in the country sparked outrage. Free porn websites, including Pornhub.com, xvideos.com, playboy.com and xxx.com are blocked by ISPs in India and many other countries. These restriction imposed by the Indian government was ordered to be lifted, ruling out the previous decision, but ISPs choose not to unblock these websites to this date.

One should always keep a handy note of these free Chrome VPN tools to bypass the restriction on content accessibility.

Here are some Free Google Chrome VPN extensions to unblock almost any website:

    ZenMate

This is probably the best free VPN service, that provides unlimited usage without any logical limitations. Of course you are limited to the number of server locations you can use, which includes US, Romania, Germany and HongKong. We tested Zenmate to unblock some website which are currently being blocked by my ISP, and it perfectly lifted restrictions. We were actually amazed because we could stream videos and other heavy contents over this secure network, like there was nothing in between, throttling the speed.

When we tested Zenmate for DNS leak, it returned the owner as “Hurricane Electric,” which apparently is a global internet service provider. So we can vouch that it does pretty good work at hiding your information unless zenmate or Hurricane is keeping your activity records.

Zenmate is available for cross-platforms, which includes Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Android, and iOS. If you like their free chrome extension, you can even try premium plans which can protect all your devices over the network.

    Unlimited Free VPN – Betternet

    betternetvpn

The only reason we are not listing this service at the top, it is a comparitively new company. The service is open source, and completely free. It is the only free VPN service we know that doesn’t sell you ads or offers alternate premium plans to bump up the speed or data usage. It is FREE 100%, with the only drawback being available 1 US server location which cannot be changed.

    betternet

We love how they disclose their monthly earning from the apps they recommend under the partnership with third party networks. Betternet is available for all the platforms – Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Windows, Android, and iOS.

    [Download]

    CyberGhost

    cyberghostvpn

CyberGhost is a reputed VPN company, which proved to be a good tool to unblock banned websites by their free Google Chrome extension. It is a company recognized by many reputed tech blogs — wired, TechCrunch, the guardian and chip to name a few. It is a big name and very trusted.

We liked the simple UI, and limited options to play with. It offers 3 server locations – United States, Germany and Netherlands which cannot be extended by a premium service unless you happen to vouch for a paid VPN account that protects entire network on your computer.

    cyberghost

There is a dedicated free Android app, but it didn’t perform quite well during our test. Maybe it was some glitch at their end during that session.

    [Download]

We also tested ultrasurf, Gom VPN, dotVPN, Unlimited Free VPN – Hola and TunnelBear — they were offering either limited bandwidth and required registration or leaked DNS information and forced advertisements, which isn’t good if you wanted to hide your online identity.

These tools are highly effective and we tested them for DNS and information leaks, but keep in mind that they are not as secure as a reputed premium VPN services and are not recommended for those who are seeking top-notch security.

Most of these services might be keeping activity logs. The owners of the services above have the ability to associate your personal IP address with the names of all the sites you connect to and store this data indefinitely, which can identify you if authorized personnel to contact them for investigation of your involvement in a suspicious activity. This does not mean that they do log or store it indefinitely but they may and you need to trust whatever their policy says.

  • How I am turning my blog into a successful business, and you can do it too!

How I am turning my blog into a successful business, and you can do it too!

Just like any other new blogger, I started my journey in 2009 registering for a Google Blogspot service and then waiting for the money to flow in, by doing nothing.

I started following other blogs which covered the guides and tutorials to setup a blogspot and do customizations by tweaking some codes in the default template. I was following these websites very closely. At this point, it was only because I wanted to learn website designing and how things work on the internet. It was a childish attempt to become new ‘Mark Zuckerberg,’ Overnight.

One day, I came across a post that explained how you can earn money online by blogger. This is something that got my attention — that post right there was explaining, how I could earn hundreds of dollars every month by simply writing about something I love.

I choose my topic which I think I still belong at — Hacking, Technology, Gadgets, and Piracy. I was able to assemble a Desktop PC from scratch at the age of 13 and started learning basics of hacking websites online when I was in Class 10th, all by myself. It all helped me figure out the right niche I had to choose. So, I Wrote few topics and tutorials, most I could do is post 1 or 2 articles every other day – mainly because I had to attend school and be good at evening tuition.

I read so many success stories on the internet that had me thinking, earning money online is easier than working for someone else. You just have to setup a website, and write some posts — and money will come seeping in. Damn, I was wrong!

Nothing went as expected. I made several mistakes that taught me few things, the hard way. First my blog wasn’t getting any traffic, I had no idea how to get exposure to the content I was posting on the blog. I was simply posting the articles, thinking it will get traffic automatically from Google. Second, I wasn’t monetizing my content. Yes, I was fool enough to think that money will magically appear in my dad’s account (I didn’t posses a personal bank account at that time) if I keep posting content. I didn’t quite understood the AdSense service was required to monetize the blog which was mentioned by the website that I referred to earlier. All I figured out was I had to post content on my website and it will be all magical after that. This is when I learned how to implement Google Adsense on my blog and started using it on my website.

Despite the fact that I failed several times in my endeavor to run a successful Tech blog, I enjoyed it quite well. The most interesting part was managing the web server and learning how to get along with the code — this is something I still enjoy. For starters, I quickly learned my way through HTML, PHP, CSS and some basic Javascripting. I was so indulged in learning all these new things, I totally neglected my studies and focused on anything that had word “computer”, “gadgets” or “Technology.”

By the time I realized the truth, I failed in 12th, sucked at maths and physics (I used to get 90% or above in PCM and Computer) and lost respect among family members. Failing class 12 was a surprise for most who knew me at that time, as I secured my position in top 10 students of my class by scoring 90% in 10th (CBSE). This was the turning point, I started getting worse at other subjects but surprisingly, I was excelling in Computer.

    keep calm and carry on

Just like any other middle-Class family in India (it gets worse if you are from Bihar or other smaller cities), I had to listen to my family members and focus on my studies. I had a hard time explaining what I was trying to do, and how someone could earn money online (none of my family member had good knowledge of computer and internet services at that time). I couldn’t spend time on the computer and focus on the work — which resulted in dropping off digitfreak.

Well, I managed to get 74% in the 12th exam, still clueless about most of the parts that I learned. I choose a private college to pursue Computer Science (There was another tragic event that took place while opting for college, let’s keep it for some upcoming posts). I resumed posting contents on the website once I got into the college, but I couldn’t find the time to work on it. There were so many activities that kept me occupied – studies, the harsh time period before fresher’s party (ragging), projects, events, 8 internals and 2-semester examinations every year; excluding the class tests. To make my blog look more active, I attempted a sin — copied contents from different sources using WordPress plugin and RSS. Copying others work is so much easier, and the best part – it was all automated. But that’s where the fun ends. I received several emails from the owner of those contents who threatened me to take legal actions against me.

Fast forward few years, I filtered and deleted most of the content (please point me if there are any left behind) that I copied from other sources – 3,25,539 to be exact, and decided to devote my time in an attempt to turn this blog into a dedicated online Tech Magazine. There are so many details that I want to share here, but I don’t want to make this post big enough to be passed down before reading it to the end. You must be bored, listening to all these personal information. I will share the snippet of these stories in the following series that will be posted from now on.

So why I am spilling all these information right out of nowhere?

Well, I decided to share my journey from now on with other startup websites and bloggers who are seeking a detailed information. I want to help others who has same vision like me, and are looking for an opportunity to do something that matters rather than sitting inside a square cabin working for someone else.

  • 7 easy steps you must follow to build your own website

The web tools and tips are necessary to identify the web market, its appeal to the audience and the web graphics. After developing a website, a series of tests are necessary to ensure the website is free from glitches and runs smoothly. A good website is constantly maintained and promoted for it to achieve its main objectives.

    Steps of Building a Website

    Step 1. Website Research
Before coming up with a website plan, a thorough website research is vital. Web research equip developers with complete details of what is required in developing website. Among research areas include functions of the site, available similar types of website in the internet and the best choice of website for given particular demand. During research, the web developers also determine the domain name and web hosting server, which will be appropriate for the desired outcome.

    Step 2. Plan a Website
Improper planning leads to failure. After a thorough research, time should be designated to develop a website plan based on the information collected during research. The main function of plan include determining the number of website pages, selecting and sorting website contents, creating and managing website security and copyright demands. Finally, a website developer must ensure the needed technical knowledge is available. Based on the technical competency, a website builder can decide to start from scratch or use pre-built templates such as WordPress.

    Step 3. Design a Website
This is the phase of implementing the work of research. This is the stage where technical competency of web developers is evaluated. Most developers create their designs by drawing a comparison with other excellent sites. Artistic application of color, theme and the general page design are vital in this phase. Depending on the goal of the website, proper fonts, spacing, typography and images must be incorporated. A good design should appeal to the audience.

You can also use website builder to design your website. There is a website that has a list that compiles some of the best website builders.

Step 4. Code a Website by CSS and HTML
Coding makes the website fully functional HTML or XHTM document through the use of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, ASP and PHP. In other words, coding involve adding programing language to the designed document for interactivity. For database driven websites, Microsoft Access or MySQL are required.

    Step 5. Launch a Website
Once the website has been developed, launching is necessary. Before launching a site, a pre-launch test are necessary. Pre-launch tests are useful in determining whether the website is compatible wholly in fully in all browsers, accessible all visitors and error free. Pre-launch also gives the developer opportunity to validate the web HTML and CSS scripts. Search Engine Optimization is also carried out in this phase. SEOs makes the website easily visible in the internet through key word search. Finally, launching require proper tool to upload the site in the internet.

    Step 6. Promote a Website
Once a website has been launched, the intended audience must be alerted. Without effective web marketing, despite its design, it can be useless. Web marketing can be achieved through affiliate marketing, email marketing, adoption of social media, search engine marketing, content marketing and mobile marketing.

  • [How To] trace the IP address of a website

[How To] trace the IP address of a website

Usually, You certainly don’t want to know the hidden IP address of a website, because it is too difficult to remember the long numeric address which leads to the information you sought on the internet. However, there are few cases where IP address of a website plays a crucial role.

For instance, if due to some reason website’s DNS server is unable to link the IP address to the domain name, you cannot reach the website without knowing the IP address or,

if you are migrating your website to the new web server and updated the nameserver for the same, you might not be able to see files until your DNS information has been propagated globally. To access the data on the new server temporarily you’ll have to use the IP address to make sure your website is working properly and files has been migrated as they should.

Whatever is the case, we are here to help you determine the IP address of the website you want to gain access to — just follow the simple tutorial below.

    Instructions:

    1Simple “tracert” command

z 00076z 004If you’re using a windows OS powered computer, you can simply perform a “tracert” in the command prompt. traceroute is a computer network diagnostic tool for displaying the route (path) and measuring transit delays of packets across an Internet Protocol (IP) network. I prefer “tracert” or “traceroute” to detect the IP address over “ping” command because it provide more detailed information and I like the way the information is displayed on the command prompt/terminal window.

    • Press Window+R > type “cmd” > Enter
    • In the Command prompt type – “tracert -h 10 digitfreak.com” or “traceroute -m 10 digitfreak.com” on linux system (without quotes and replace digitfreak.com with the domain address you want to look up).
    • The first IP adress displayed beside the domain name is the one you need.

    2Web application

z 00077If you are not into all that do not rely on others thing, you would probably like to stick with the third party services. There are plenty of IP lookup services that is capable of performing the job we are seeking. It’s upto your personal taste to select one of the web services that you personally think is best suitable for your interest. Personally, I like who.is domain lookup website.

    • Just Go To > www.who.is
    • Enter the name of the website you want to search.
    • The search result will return the detailed information of the website, including whois lookup, website information, DNS records and diagnostics.
    • Don’t get distracted. We are looking for the IP address and you can find it under the “site status” block (see screenshot below)

    z 00078

There are certainly many different ways to determine the IP address of a website, but we only need to get our work done and neglect the other detailed information or methods that can give the similar results.

If you have other favorite method to trace the IP address of the website, simply mention it in comments. Maybe we will include it in this article.
